We work with nature's cycles and have the plants harvested during the season appropriate for the plant part used (i.e.: leaves-spring; flowers-summer; roots-fall & winter).
To assure high potency remedies, we use fresh herbs whenever appropriate and let them soak for eight weeks.
Tinctures- Extracts are easily assimilated, convenient and can extract a wider range of medicinal properties than dried herbs and capsules. They have a shelf life of five years or more, and are best stored in a cool, dark place.
Since these remedies are strong-tasting, the best way to take them is in a small amount of water and drink them down. Though not essential, you'll get the most out of the herbal tincture if taken on an empty stomach. For children, you can mix it in a little fruit juice.
