Founded in 1982, Terra Firma Botanicals is a woman-owned and operated business. At Terra Firma, we have a deeply personal relationship with the plants and the final preparations. Using the highest quality herbs, our products are created with love and respect for the planet, for your health and for your healing. Our herbs have always been certified organically grown or ethically harvested by wildcrafters. It is very important to us to only use plants that are obtained without the use of chemicals, pesticides, herbicides, fumigants and irradiation. We use only cold-pressed organically grown olive oil in our salves and flower oils. Because we are all connected, our ingredients and products are never tested on animals. You get the purest gift Mother Earth can provide, a commitment we have stayed true to for 25 years.

Terra Firma began as a small cottage industry in my home, while I raised my two children. Indeed, Terra Firma has been like my other child, dear to my heart and requiring my dedication, nurturing, and patience. While my children have matured to young adulthood, Terra Firma has moved from my rural home to its own small, cozy house in town. In 1996, I was presented with a Healer's Challenge, being diagnosed with MS. Though it is sometimes difficult to balance my business and my health, it has offered me a new, empathetic perspective in creating products to help others to heal.
In 2005 I discovered my "MS" was induced by Lyme Disease. This has led to a whole new way of treatment. Many more discoveries and options!

Never straying from my commitment to the plants and the Earth, Terra Firma has grown slowly and still remains a small business with only a few employees. Growing awareness of the healing qualities of herbs has attracted the interest of large, profit-driven pharmaceutical corporations that would extract the "active ingredients" out of the plant while leaving the spirit of the plant on the laboratory floor. For me, money has never been the bottom line. It's about making good medicine for people.
